UFC 113 Betting Action

As next month’s UFC 113 card draws closer, savvy fans of UFC betting are scanning the card, looking for intriguing action to exploit.

While the card certainly has some interesting action, some fights stick out more than others in terms of betting action.

Many sportsbook cappers have listed Patrick Cote a big underdog in his bout against Alan Belcher. This might be a line that bettors want to exploit. Belcher will have an advantage in the kicking game. Training under Duke Roufus, Belcher has displayed serious Muai Thai skills during his time in the octagon, stopping ATT products Jorge Santiago and Wilson Gouveia on strikes.

Cote, however, has one of the better beards in mixed martial arts, and will not be succumbing to and punches that connect to his dome. While he does have to watch the leg kicks of Belcher, he has a significant power advantage. If Belcher’s game plan is to engage Cote in a war on the feet, it could spell disaster for the product from Remix MMA.

The Koscheck/Daley fight is another intriguing fight for would-be bettors. Depending on where the line ends up, putting some money on either fighter could yield results. Daley is a true “one-and-done” fighter, needing to connect only once to end a fight. Koscheck, on the other hand, has such significantly better grappling than Daley, it would be disaster for the Brit if the fight goes to the ground. Depending on how you see this fight unfolding, it may be wise to place some action on the fighter you see able to implement his game plan.

UFC 113 is headlined by a rematch between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida. The card takes place May 8, 2010.
